Packing tips
Hire or Buy Crates or Boxes
You will need to hire (or purchase) crates or boxes to pack your belongings unless you already have your own boxes in possession. We at Bravo Removal can provide all size of boxes at reasonable rates if required.
Plan & Organise
You have to choose a spare place in your house where you can store your belongings to be moved and start packing. That could be your dining room or garage etc.You can start packing with the less important things weeks before the removal date. It will save you from sudden large workload near the removal day. As removal date gets nearer, you can start packing the more important things as well.Remember: do not pack your legal and other important documents with your general household belongings. Try to pack them separately and always keep them with you for safety reasons.
Wrapping
When packing fragile items try to use some kind of protective material such as bubble wrap, make sure you use enough to cover the entire item. The more wrapped items in box the better as this will provide better resistance from physical shocks. For cups, bowls etc try fill the them with packing material and don?t forget to protect the handles as well.
Filling
Dont over fill boxes with heavy items as it will make them unmanageable and will be difficult to transport; they may also break or tear while in transit.Make sure you use enough tape around the boxes to keep them together throughout the move ? no one wants a box to collapse during a move! Empty space in boxes containing delicate items should be filled with paper or some other soft material.
Labelling
Try to label every box with some numbering system, the place where it might be going in new house, the place it came from or with caution markings such as Fragile etc. This will help the removers to know where to place boxes and how to handle them, it will also help you when unpacking at your new location.
